1970 Torino 3 Way Chrome Plated Italian Robot Lamp
Superb near mint and all original 3-Way, Chrome Plated Robot Lamp manufactured in Italy by Torino Lamps. Complete with all three working globes, and with original wiring, and in incredible near mint condition. It's only the second high grade working example I've found in the past 15 years. Manufactured in Torino, Italy this lamp was manufactured at a time when unusual furniture and unusual home accessories were the "norm". Nearly 40 years later the style and subject matter are more collectible than ever. Basically it's a 3-way lamp controlled by twisting the "nose". One click lights the head and eyes, two clicks and the head turns off while the two hands light up, three clicks and both the head and hands all light up simultaneously. The fourth click turns everything off. The lamp has both original hanging earrings (although one got hung up when I took the photos), it's original green felt furniture protective disc underneath the base, both arms bolts and the base bolt. It has its original Torino label on the base rear plus its ungrounded original wiring. The lamps are old, and are the correct size. They appear to be original, but I have no way to verify this.
