c.1940 Keystone, No. 322 North Star Pond Sailboat in Original Box

Amazing North Star pond sailboat! Never used. Complete with all original parts including both nylon(?) sails and its original wooden stand. AND complete with its original triangular box.

Huge ship measures 29" tall and 19½" long. It's made from sanded pine and has a pressed steel keel and steerable rudder. Top deck was finished with clear varnish while the hull was painted blue to match the keel.

The mast is a wooden dowel. The sails appear to be strong nylon, or some type of durable plastic. They've been double stitched all around the edges and fitted with brass grommets and metal hooks. Metal posts hold the rigging (string) in place to the deck, while two metal rings hold the main sail to the mast. The rigging is all original and complete. The stand is wood.

Features a large red painted star with a "K" in the center on the main sail. "North Star Guaranteed to Sail" was printed above and below the logo.

The original box is a very unusual wide triangular shape. Each end closes with three endflaps. The manufacturer's name and rigging directions are printed on the two main panels. The model number is printed on one of the endflaps.

Size: 29" tall and 19½" long, box 24".
