c.1938 Marx, No. 420 Electric Circuit Breaker in Original Box
Superb and unused No. 420 Electric Circuit Breaker from Marx complete with original box. Scarce version with awesome illustrated color decal showing a streaming locomotive in perspective. The decal is original. All pressed steel construction with chromed square base, black painted upright support column, chrome drum base, and chrome drum sides. "CIRCUIT BREAKER" is printed on the front and rear of the drum which houses its original light bulb (filament is intact). The center of the drum is open on both sides and a disk of red celluloid covers the openings. When the bulb is turned on the words "SHORT CIRCUIT" appear in the center of the disks (see below). Includes original brass screw connectors and reset button (located on the left side). The original wiring is all intact. The box is illustrated on one panel and shows a schematic layout on another. The remaining two include instructions for setting it up. Size: 4½". Sold: Apr. 2006
