c.1923 Schoenhut, Felix the Cat, Rare Red Version
Very scare red version of Schoenhut's popular Felix the Cat. Made of jointed wood with original leather ears, wooden nose, wooden knob hands, wooden tail tip, twisted paper tail, and wooden oval shaped feet. Still has much of it's original silver on black chest decal remaining. "F" and "X", "COP" of copyright, and "By Pat Sullivan" are present. Covered wire arms raise and lower. Presumably the tail and legs are movable as well, but after 80+ years they're stiff and fragile. Purchased from the Gary Selmonsky Collection. Size: 3½". Sold: Nov. 2005
