c.1920's WDC, 4pc. Stone Agate Marble Set in Original Wooden Box

Unusual boxed set of four machine made brown, or deep red Stone Agate Marbles. Each differs in size, but the color theme is consistent. Couldn't find a single chip on any of them. The manufacturer is unknown.

The four marbles are each a different size and have different coloration, although they do have the matching brown/red overall coloring. The sizes are ¾", 11/16", ½" and 3/8" (see photo). The color, opacity, and brilliance are exactly as shown. The smallest has a dull shine unlike the other three.

The four tuck very neatly into a very fancy, yet specific case. It precisely fits the marbles with a little extra room to move around in. The case is wooden with red leather covering all around. It has a brass push-catch lever on the front and two brass hinges. It's shaped sort of like a violin case, but it's only 3-3/8" long.

The inside is lined with crushed velvet, probably blue or green at one time, sort of like an antique watch case with exact impressions for each marble. The velvet on the inside lid is embossed with gold lettering and design which reads "Finest Quality". Between these two words is an inverted triangle with the letters W, D, and C. The triangle has a crown on top.
