1918 Borgfeldt Co. Promotional Celluloid Calendar

1918 Borgfeldt Co. Promotional Celluloid Calendar

Original celluloid "give-away" calendar promoting Geo. Borgfeldt & Co. manufacturer and importer of fine toys during the early 1920s. One side shows a detailed lithograph illustration of the Borgfeldt building at the corners of 16th Street and Irving Place in New York City. Additional branch locations were noted below.

Reverse side has the complete calendar for 1918, a millimeter scale and inches scale along two edges, and an extensive listing of the company's' products.

It was printed primarily with black. Highlights were printed in red.

Under the smiling moon face "Nifty" trademark the company made available many German made, American character toys such as Felix The Cat, Maggie and Jiggs, Buttercup, Highway Henry, and Toonerville Trolley. The firm closed in 1962.

First one of these I've seen!
