c.1953 Chein Tin Litho Globe Bank Woriginal Trap
Chein was a major producer of tin litho globes and globe banks. Although there's a lot of them out there, relatively few have remained in high grade condition AND with its original trap. This example has both! Using the style of Chein logo and some of the obsolete countries dates the bank to the early 1950s. (Alaska was not part of the U.S. at the time of its production just because it's the same yellow color). It's a perfect tin litho sphere set onto a faux wood litho base.
