c.1980 Beatlemania, 4 Marx-like Playset Beatle Figures in Sealed Original Bag
Never seen this colorful set of soft plastic Beatle figures before. I purchased it from a very avid Beatles collector. They’re similar in appearance to Marx playset figures only slightly larger. They’re sealed in original transparent plastic bag with double sided, color header card. I’ve estimated their manufacturing date as c.1980 in line with the live production of “Beatlemaniaâ€. Includes the Fab Four in blue, yellow, orange, and maroon. They appear to have been machine made as compared with someone making them up in their basement. There are no manufacturer marks or text including the base (top and bottom). The color header card is printed directly on thick glossy cardboard stock, not laminated inkjet paper. So again, it appears to have been mass produced machine made. The card shows Paul’s face in a white streamer set against a red background. An electric guitar and “Beatlemania†flank the face illustration. The manufacturer’s name and logo were printed on the bottom. It does not have a hanging hole punch. Both sides are identical.
