1952 Wolverine No 30 Loop The Loop In Original Box

1952 Wolverine No 30 Loop The Loop In Original Box

Very neat steel litho amusement ride toy "Loop The Loop" produced by Wolverine Supply & Mfg. Co. Wind-up clockwork toy comes with its correct original car and its original box. Although the toy turns up from time to time because of its "playability" it's almost always very well used. This example, although used, grades excellent+ to near mint.

Terrific toy uses a cam-shaft type arm to rock the entire track up and down like a see-saw. In turn, this causes the double ended car to travel from end to end completing an upside-down loop the loop in the center. A nickel plated bell connected to the motor rings continuously as it works. It uses an attached key with an adjacent start stop lever.

Beautifully lithographed in yellow, blue and red with lots of crowded amusement park scenes. The bug-like car is yellow with colored stripes and polished steel wheels. The toy was introduced in 1952 through the Sears Christmas Catalog and originally sold for $2.45.

One panel on the plain cardboard box was printed with a simple black illustration of the toy. The opposite panel includes the toy name, manufacturer name and address with catalog number.
