1962 Jo-Han, Dodge Dart 2dr. Hardtop Promotional Car in Original Box
Gorgeous and extremely scarce 2-door hardtop Dodge Dart promotional car manufactured by Jo-Han. Flawless mint condition and only recently discovered. Complete with original box with original cellophane window. Couldn't find a listing for it in Steve Butler's book on Promotional Cars & Trucks, 2001. This is a friction drive, all plastic vehicle, which amazingly enough has no warping or deformation. That, in itself, is unusual to find. Very detailed maroon red body and interior with white painted seat cushions. Has both original front and rear transparent windshields. Chrome plated trim includes grille, front and rear bumpers, headlights, and wheel covers. Tires are solid black plastic with painted whitewalls mounted on metal axles. All four original body screws are in place and have never been removed. Front and rear license plates embossed "1962". "Dodge" is embossed across the front hood edge. Original $1.38 price is both written in black marker and stamped with hand stamper on the bottom chassis. Friction drive works great! Includes original die-cut window with all six endflaps and complete cellophane window. Printing on one of the box flaps corresponds to the model, color, and year. Size: 8". Sold: Sep. 2010
