1966 A.C. Gilbert, Batman Figural Action Watch in Original Box
Extraordinary example of one of the earliest and most scarce Batman collectibles. This is the Batman Action Watch manufactured by the venerated A.C. Gilbert Company. It comes complete, in pristine mint condition and works beautifully. It's housed inside its original display box and has its original "full year guarantee" A.C. Gilbert card. The yellow insert is an excellent reproduction. Superb precision timepiece is solid black plastic molded in the shape of the famous Bat Signal. Wing veins are highlighted in metallic teal. It has its original black and blue canvas cloth wrist strap with silver polished buckle. The perfectly circular watch face has its original glass crystal and is manually wound using the connected knurled ring. The numbers are written analog style with the text "Gilbert" and "antimagnetic" printed on the watch face. Both the hour and minute hands are shaped like Batman's Batarang which is really cool! It also has a ticking, red second hand. It comes in its original 2-piece polystyrene plastic display case (black base with transparent covering). And in addition it also has it original one year guarantee certificate with instructions for mailing it back to the company. The other side of the form includes details for maintaining the watch band and "proper care of your watch). As already mentioned the yellow insert is an excellent professionally made reproduction.
