1942 The Flash, Fastest Man Alive Golden-Age Tin Button

1942 The Flash, Fastest Man Alive Golden-Age Tin Button

This tin litho button was the very first item produced to promote "The Flash, Fastest Man Alive". The first appearance of the character was in Flash Comics #1 (January, 1940).

In 1942 this button was sent to anyone submitting a reader survey coupon printed in All-Star Flash #6 (July, 1942). The first thousand respondents also received a free copy of All-Star Flash #7.

It's considered to be the most difficult to obtain and rarest Flash promotional item or toy. It's listed as Rare, FLA-1, Hake's Guide to Pop Culture Memorabilia, 1st edition, page 411.

The reverse side has a brass finish and it's complete with original pin.
