c.1937 Halsam, Mickey Mouse Safety Blocks in Original Box
Complete set of 16 wooden colored blocks featuring Mickey and friends. Outstanding excellent+ to near mint complete with original box. Each block features an Disney character on two sides with their name embossed above them. They're pressed in high relief and painted a single color. The other two block faces include a recognizable object like a locomotive, a China Clipper airplane, a torpedo race car, and an old auto. Each block measures 1¼" on all sides. The characters include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto the Pup, Horace Horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow. The box is cardboard with a laminated color print cover. It's marked "Walt Disney Enterprises". It shows Mickey and his buddies dashing across the panel flanked by illustrations of the blocks. Size: 5½" square box and 1¼" in height. Sold: Sep. 2005
