c.1957 Linemar, Mickey's Mousekemovers Moving Van in Original Box

Superb near mint+ example of scarce tin litho friction drive Mickey's Mousekemovers Moving Van. Unusual mid-1950's Japanese-built, Linemar toy comes  complete with its original, and very difficult to find, color illustrated box.

The green, yellow and white striped trailer has seven Disney character faces with a cityscape on the curved front. It has opening, latched rear doors. The brilliant red cab is chrome trimmed and has two raised door panels lithoed "MMM Movers Inc." The cab roof includes a Mickey Mouse Club Mouseketeers logo and Walt Disney Prod. copyright. It has 16 tires; 14 rubber with chrome hubs and two tin parking wheels.

The basic truck design was used by Linemar to produce several brand name vehicles during the 1950's such as Allied, Watson Bros., Western Auto and a few others. It was redesigned in 1963 with a square cab and trailer and featured other Disney characters such as Snow White and The Three Little Pigs.

The box cover shows an illustration of the trucks' right side and roof. It accurately depicts the same characters found on the right side of the toy. The two long side skirts show the left side, again, with the characters faces as they appear on the truck. The short side skirts illustrate the vehicle from the front and show the Mickey portrait seen on the trailer.
