c.1938 Hubley, No. 316 Cast Iron DC-3 Airplane
Superb cast iron DC-3 Airplane with nickel plated wings, propellers, and struts. Brilliant red painted fuselage, horizontal and tail wings, and front half of main wings including engines. Tires are solid white rubber with metal axle. Neat little plane features four passenger windows on both sides of the fuselage, triple upright tail wings, nickel plated belly held in place with button-ended rivet. Embossed "2304" and "2" under right wing, "Made U.S.A." on rear horizontal wings. Size: Wingspan 3-3/8", Fuselage 3". Sold: Dec. 2005
