1960 Bandai Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan In Original Box

Superb tin litho Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan, 4dr. Hardtop, complete with original box. Provenance from the Kaufman Collection (Owner KB Toys) sold by Bertoia Auctions. Conservatively grades strong excellent+ to near mint.

Authentically styled vehicle features Cadillac hood emblem and rear license plate. Handsome Fleetwood model lithoed with metallic teal colored body and single plate black chassis. Wide design with enclosed rear wheel wells, embossed front and rear doors, fender, quarter panels, and side molding. Interior is brown, beige, and white tin litho with separate front and rear bench seats and white plastic steering wheel.

Lots of chrome plating includes front windshield frame, unusual half-frame rear windshield, door handles, hood vent, huge wrap-around front bumper with separate detailed grille, double headlights, hood emblem, rear bumper taillight assembly, and embossed whitewall wheel covers. Chassis is embossed with some undercarriage details plus Cadillac and manufacturers name.

Tires are solid black rubber and it has both of its original blue tinted celluloid windshields. The front wheels can be moved into three positions (right, left, and straight ahead). It's powered with a rear-drive friction motor.

The box was one of Bandai's "Automobiles of the World" series #781. It's illustrated with a perspective view of the Sedan which was lightly blue tinted. Cadillac name and emblem was printed on all four box aprons.
