c.1958 Suzuki & Edwards, Bear Row Boat with Moving Oars In Original Box
Outstanding mechanical tin litho Bear and Row Boat with Moving Oars by Suzuki & Edwards, Japan. Comes complete with both original oars, and original box with insert. Near mint and works great! Features mechanical bear which pushes forward and leans backwards. Oars are slanted in such a way that it appears to move forward as the bear pulls backwards just like a person rowing would look like. Complete with both oars, tin litho flag and rudder with rubber handle. Key is attached. The blue section on either side of the bears feet is celluloid or acetate. Box is illustrated with rowing bear and baby bear. Near by a fish jumps vertically out of the water. Instructions for easy assembly are printed on the box sides.
