1955 Lowell, Groucho's "You Bet Your Life" and 1954 "TV Quiz" Games

1955 Lowell, Groucho's

Two complete and unused games based on the 1950s quiz show "You Bet Your Life" starring Groucho Marx. Manufactured one year apart; 1954 Pressman and 1955 Lowell. Both are complete. Both have sealed contents. Both have never been played with.

1954 Pressman Groucho TV Quiz Game Features a large black and white photo of Groucho on the cover with horizontal lines simulating a television display. Includes the famous "duck" plus a graphic of the shows sponsor De Soto complete with an image of the car! Box cover is hinged to the bottom section which makes it difficult to find in high grade (typically the hinges are torn away). Includes the 4" tall figural plastic magnetic Groucho with metal cane, plus all of the Groucho accessories (glasses with eyebrows, mustache, cigar with band, magnetic word card, and Groucho money) still factory sealed in cellophane bag!

Size: Approx. 18" x 13" x 2".

1955 Lowell, Groucho's You Bet Your Life Game This game uses the glossy inserts as its playing surface with an actual wind-up clockwork timer set into the box. The timer key is painted pressed metal with ALL of it's painted surface intact. On the left is photo of Groucho, slightly tinted pink. You can tell just by looking at the edges of this photo that it was hand cut and pasted, then reprinted.

Includes its two piece box-type insert (both top and bottom sections) with die cut window which contains all 120 cardboard letters on four cards, all 180 quiz questions in uncut strips of 15, glossy yellow quiz answers on hard cardboard with separate proverb and scramble section still attached. (I did not show the quiz answers and questions cards in the photo's, but they're there and in perfect condition as noted).

Size: Approx. 18" x 12" x 2".
