c.1950 Red Ball (Japan), 12 Hand Blown Glass Animals
Here's an unusual set of early post-war, hand blown glass animals. One has its original manufacturers label, or I would've never been able to identify the manufacturer. They were purchased in Japan around 1950. Nine are complete and intact without any chips or cracks. Three are broken (see below). An attempt to repair one of the broken critters was made a long time ago. Intact: dove, swan goose, duck, fish, deeer, dog, giraffe, elephant. Broken: penguin, peacock,duck (with mfg. label). They measure between 1" and 2" long. Sold: May 2008
