1949 Ideal Novelty & Toy Co., Carousel Truck in Original Box
All plastic revolving Carousel Truck manufactured by the Ideal Novelty & Toy Co., Hollis, NY. In pristine unused mint condition complete with original box. Produced for only two years as catalog number MGR75 it features four rotating horses, two red and two white. A second version was also produced with rotating seals. The truck has a red cab and trailer with blue calliope. The carousel has a yellow scalloped die cut base and removable blue canopy. The canopy is painted with yellow decorations on the roof. The tires are solid black rubber. Forward or reverse movement will rotate the carousel clockwise or counterclockwise. The colorful box was illustrated with the truck and lots of children around it. The operator is shown manually turning the carousel. The other main panel shows a single horse with a boy rider. Then end flaps were printed with text (toy name, and manufacturer name).
