1956 Linemar, Dick Tracy Battery Operated Police Car in Original Box
Fantastic battery operated, remote controlled tin litho Dick Tracy Police Car by Linemar. Comes complete with original illustrated box. Toy appears to be "very lightly used" and everything works beautifully! Vehicle features late 40's, early 50's coupe with chrome plated accessories including bumpers, front grille, headlights, and siren. Wheel hubs are tin litho and tires are solid rubber. Separately tabbed shield emblems of Dick Tracy appear on both doors. Tethered remote control metal battery box controls forward, reverse movement plus steering. Original fender mounted red emergency light flashes and internal siren screams while moving. Original box features full color illustration of Tracy driving a 1956 Chevrolet although the actual design of the toy is several years earlier. Side panels also show the same Chevy bathed in yellow light with red emergency light leading the way. Size: 8½" long vehicle with 3ft. long tether. Sold: Sep. 2006
