1937 Wyandotte, No. 330 Streamlined Tank Truck in Original Box

1937 Wyandotte, No. 330 Streamlined Tank Truck in Original Box

Wonderful pressed steel Tank Truck by Wyandotte. Appears never to have been played with. Incredible original paint is nearly 100% complete.  Complete with superb original box which is one of the best early boxes I've seen for this 1½ pound toy.

Heavy gauge pressed steel body with forest green enamel paint. Black chassis is solid plate across the entire underside of the truck. Rear hatch opens (but to avoid hinges from scraping I opened it only slightly to make sure it was all intact).

The art deco streamlined Airflow design was the first in a series from Wyandotte. No. 330 was produced from 1935-36 with white rubber tires. Wheels were switched to black rubber or metal in 1937 before it was discontinued that same year. This also marked the first time Wyandotte produced wheels that were intended to look like real truck tires.

Also includes embossed top hatches, opening rear hatch and front hood divider fin. Finished with two piece chrome plated steel radiator, grille, and front headlights.

Original box includes lithographed illustration of the truck on all four main panels, as well as the company name, address, and motto. Endflaps have official company catalog name and number.

Size: 10½".
