c.1947 Unique Art Mfg. Co., Yipee-I-Aaaay Rodeo Joe in Original Box
Mechanical tin litho "krazy kar" complete with original box. Wonderful "eccentric" vehicle moves randomly in any direction. Simultaneously Joe sits down, but gets bumped into a standing position. Occasionally, when Joe sits the entire vehicle will tilt back. With the front raised off the ground the toy pivots on a steel hitch located on the rear bottom of the chassis. Joe's hat also tilts up and down, his legs and arms are articulated. So Joe provides lots of moving around. Western theme lithography with rope logos, silhouette bucking bronco, longhorn steer, and cooking gear. Favorite graphic: Joe still has an egg in his frying pan and the pan is "tied" to the rear trunk! Unique Art Company's G.I. Joe and His Jouncing Jeep is identical to this toy. Only the lithography and hat are different. In comparison this toy is much tougher to find especially with the original box. Original box illustrated with a cartoon-like drawing. The side panels have the full name of the toy. Size: 7" long and 9" tall (standing). Sold: Mar. 2005
Price Sold: $ 225
