c.1933 Marklin, Constructor Series Clockwork Pullman Limousine
All original pre-war hand-painted steel and tin clockwork Pullman Limousine by Marklin, Germany. From Marklin's set of six "Constructor" series. Works great using period (not original) cast iron key. It was hand-painted green and pale yellow with gold trim. Has its original working steering wheel, hand brake, opening driver's door and door handles, huge nickel plated front radiator grill, headlights with original celluloid inserts, nickel plated headlights with original celluloid inserts, fender mounted turn signals, solid black rubber tires with matching rear trunk mounted spare, plated front and rear bumpers with separate license plate, spring suspension, and complex integrated clockwork motor. All the screws appear to be original. Paint and parts are also all original *despite a slight difference in shade between the yellow front hood and yellow saloon doors. Another version of this car was produced with battery operated head lights. Yet another variation was painted completely solid pale yellow color. Size: 15". Weight: 3½ pounds. Sold: Nov. 2016
