1963 Marx Company Commander Playset Factory Sealed Box
This is the No.4938 "Company Commander" Combat Line playset by Marx. It was stored since new and only recently discovered in the attic of the original owner. Amazingly it's still factory sealed on both endflaps. The toy has never been removed from the box since it was originally packed nearly 50 years ago. Just as important; the box is in beautiful near mint condition! Inside are six combat toys. The brilliant colored box is printed in orange, dark yellow, olive green, black, and white. Two panels show a GI machine gunner and GI with gun and grenade. Catalog number, list of contents, and Marx logo are printed on these panels as well. Two opposite panels have the toy name "pseudo"-stenciled in black and orange on white and olive green background. The box holds a die-cut cardboard insert printed with multiple schematic instructions showing machine gun assembly, pistol loading and firing, and grenade loading and operation.
