1934 Wyandotte, No. 315 Pressed Steel Midget Dump Truck

1934 Wyandotte, No. 315 Pressed Steel Midget Dump Truck

I’ve seen many Wyandotte trucks over the years, but until now never found their smallest version. This closed cab design with grille was produced in the 5” version for only one year. The year prior, 1933, it was made with a flat radiator and no grille.

I purchased it from a Wisconsin collection where it resided since new off the shelf.

It’s Wyandotte’s first model which premiered their patented automatic dump release lever. Located behind the cab, pulling it forward releases the catch allowing the dump bed to tilt backwards. Releasing the catch also creates a “nice” scratch on the front wall of the bed as it raises. It’s unavoidable. The lever on this example has never been used and has no such scratching.

The truck also includes all four original natural white rubber tires embossed Wyandotte. It’s grille and headlight assembly is a single piece. The original polished surface which is almost never seen, can still be viewed in the recesses of the grille and headlights.

Size: 5”.

Price Sold: $ 300
