c.1963 Marx Swimming Pool Accessory Set in Original Box
This is the Marx Doll House Swimming Pool Accessory set. It looks like it was barely played with; easily in near mint condition, but it's incomplete and includes figures from another set. It contains a total of 35 pieces. The fencing, yellow figures, blue figures, and vacuform swimming pool are correct for the set. The six pink people are from a different Marx playset. The fence, which includes an integrated gate and light pole is made up of eight individual sections. It's complete and forms a perfect square. The swimming pool itself is a multi-colored, multi-textured shallow vacuform piece. It comes with its separate original diving board and safety steps. Both are yellow. Also included is an "A" frame swing-set, slide, see-saw, and sandbox. These are all the light blue pieces plus two figures. The yellow pieces include 3 baseball playing figures, 2 swimmers, a life preserver, 2 floating ducks and a toy sail boat. I'm assuming that the 6 pink figures are from another set since their scale is twice the size of other colored pieces. All are Marx. The pizza-type box is nearly square with hinged cover and features a teal colored illustration of the set. Size: Box approx. 12" x 12" x 3". Sold: Jul. 2010
