1952 Marx, Willys Electric Jeep with Trailer in Original Box

1952 Marx, Willys Electric Jeep with Trailer in Original Box

Outrageous Willys Jeep and Trailer with electric lights and horn by Marx. Unplayed with in near mint+ condition complete with original box. Even more amazing it still has its original instruction tag for operating the beeping horn notched around the steering wheel column (see last photo). Both the head lights and horn work great!

Accurate rendition of the famous WWII Willys Jeep it's stamped "Willys" on the front bumper, on the top of each front fender and in the lower center of the windshield frame. "JEEP" is also stamped on both doors. The Marx logo is stamped into the underside on both pieces.

Both the Jeep and Trailer are enameled pressed steel. The tires, five on the Jeep, and two on the trailer, are embossed steel litho disks. The toy features interior switch controlled battery operated head lights, a front hood which raises and lowers, an aluminum windshield frame which can lay flat on the front hood, a removable spare tire, and a metal steering wheel with horn that really beeps when you push it in. The tailgate on the trailer drops down and is also detachable.

It originally sold with battery included for $2.98.

The box is an older two piece cardboard design with printed text cover which lifts up.

Size: 22½" hitched. Weight: approx. 4lbs.
