Superb five piece pressed steel No. 2100 Airport Service Set by Tonka. Set is complete and with original box and original insert. Conservatively grades Near Mint in VG box.
Includes the following:
- Jeep (9½") - steel body and fold down windshield, plastic interior, whitewall rubber tires with plated metal centers, original removable spare tire, original steering wheel (still factory sealed and taped to interior) and retractable hitch.
- Serv-I-Car (9½") - 3 wheels, steel body with operating dump box, turning handlebar plastic steering wheel and seat.
- Tractor (9½") - steel body with operating steering wheel, rubber tires with plated metal centers, hitch, and visible plastic engine and seat.
- 2 Luggage Trailers (7") - steel bodies, rubber tires, hitch mounts, and 5 pieces each of removable plastic luggage.
- Set has all 7 of its original decals 1-Jeep, 2-Serv-I-Car, and 4-Tractor. With the exception of two tiny flecks on the Jeep decal all are 100% complete and intact.
- Large original box features single color print illustration of the set. The box itself is complete with all flaps (one end still factory sealed with original $6.98 price written on it). Insert is die cut with printed sides. No Look Book.
Set was available from 1962-63. A page from the 1962 Sears catalog advertised it as a "15 pc. set". They considered each luggage case as a separate piece!
